The Netum L5 is a wired handheld scanner that handles both traditional 1D barcodes and modern 2D codes, so one device covers product labels, QR payment codes and shipping labels. A 640 x 480 CMOS imager with white illumination and a red aimer reads printed codes as well as codes shown on smartphone or monitor screens. It connects by a 1.8m USB cable in HID keyboard or virtual COM mode, works directly with Excel, inventory and POS software, and its ABS+TPU body is built to survive 2 metre drops.
The scanner reads all the common 1D codes including EAN, UPC, Code 39, Code 93, Code 128, Codabar, Interleaved 2 of 5, ITF-14, ISBN and GS1 DataBar, as well as 2D QR Code, Data Matrix, PDF417 and Aztec. With a minimum resolution of 4mil for 1D and 6mil for 2D codes and 360° roll tolerance, it captures small or angled labels quickly. Manual, continuous and presentation trigger modes let you adapt it to a checkout, packing desk or stock room.
Operating on standard 5V USB power, the L5 needs no external adapter and draws very little current. It measures 170 x 70 x 80 mm, weighs around 168g and is certified to CE, RoHS and FCC standards. Optional USB COM (virtual serial) mode is available for software that requires serial input. With a 1-year warranty, the Netum L5 is a flexible, affordable 2D scanner for growing businesses.
