The Netum NT-A5 is a hands-free desktop barcode scanner that sits on the counter and reads codes automatically the moment an item or phone screen is presented to it. Its 640 x 480 CMOS imager decodes both 1D barcodes and 2D codes like QR, Data Matrix and PDF417, making it ideal for supermarkets, pharmacies, ticket checking and mobile payment counters. Omnidirectional reading with 360° roll tolerance removes the need to align labels, while the IP54 rated housing and USB HID keyboard mode keep installation simple on any POS PC.
Its presentation design is especially useful at busy counters: once placed on the desk, the scanner wakes and reads automatically whenever a product, card or smartphone is held in front of it. The decoder handles a wide list of 1D symbologies such as EAN-13, UPC-A, Code 128, Code 39, Codabar and GS1 DataBar, plus 2D formats including QR Code, Data Matrix, PDF417, Aztec and MaxiCode, so it is ready for both product labels and digital payment or ticket codes.
Depth of field reaches up to 180mm for 13mil EAN-13 barcodes and 240mm for 20mil QR codes, and the scanner tolerates ambient light up to 100,000 lux, so bright shop lighting does not affect performance. The IP54 rated housing resists dust and splashes, the integrated stand keeps it stable, and USB HID keyboard mode means no software installation. The Netum NT-A5 comes with a 1-year warranty.
